This is sailor venus, in the pose of her first manga cover.
lots of people dont know sailor V's story, so let me explain.... Before Sailor moon was created, Naoko Takeuchi (creator of the orignal sailor moon manga) had sailor venus, or sailor V as she was often referred to. Minako Aino (fans of the english sailor moon dub will know her as Mina) was a normal 13 year old junior high student until she met a talking white cat with a yellow cresent moon on his forehead, named artemis. Artemis explained to Minako that she is able to transform into a woman stronger and more beautiful than anyone, and that it's her mission to save the earth from a dark force. Not too long after the release of the second sailor v manga, however, Naoko Takeuchi had a new idea for a new manga, which was called Pretty guardian Sailor Moon. From that manga there was an anime created, which every girl knows as sailor moon, and the manga and anime were so popular that Codename: sailor V was soon forgotten. and thankyou, the japanese letters were the most difficult part! i had to keep looking back at the original, i was actually quite tempted to just write codename sailor v in english because the japanese characters are soo confusing o.o
